God’s Economy – The Engine for Growth

Now that we have completed and released "The King Within" which is to set the right posture — in mind, body, strength, and soul — towards Abundance and abundant living, I’m getting ready to explore the next arena, which is God’s economy.

What do I mean by that?

I want to first think about how an Engine, in simplistic form, functions.  There is a "pumping" nature of contrasts.  A car engine as a space which explodes, driving the piston into the space.  The way our muscles work relies on one side of the gradient having potassium and the other side sodium, which creates a "charge."  In other words, there is a tension of one side giving way to the other side.

I need to clarify this thought better, but I wanted to capture this down.

Luke 16:9 says:

Here’s the lesson: Use your worldly resources to benefit others and make friends. Then, when your earthly possessions are gone, they will welcome you to an eternal home.

This fires one side of the engine.  In other words, the worldly possession we have are to fuel the growth of God’s kingdom.  If the stay on this side of the gradient, it becomes stagnant.  And one way, according to this verse, to fuel the Kingdom of eternity is to "benefit others and make friends."  It is by tending to the needs of others and, as a result, forging relationships.

There is, on earth, a gradient between the rich and the poor.  In God’s economy, giving from our wealth and abundance into the poor seems like a zero-sum game.  But under God’s economy, doing so drives growth in the Kingdom.

How then, can the growth in the Kingdom result in impact here on earth?

Through God’s Multiplier:

And everyone who has given up houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or children or property, for my sake, will receive a hundred times as much in return and will inherit eternal life.

Still toying in clarifying this idea, but to me, I believe as I read further, there is a component of creating and building out of what we can to fuel the engine of growth in those parts in need.
